You live in a “germaphobic” world. You wash and sanitize your hands; you use disinfecting products in your home; and with each new virus that comes along, you become more and more concerned about cleanliness. Yet, have you thought about the bacteria that build up on the makeup products you put on your face, lips and eyes?

Did You Know?
-
In-store testers, personal makeup bags and professional makeup kits contain products that are used frequently and can become a breeding ground for germs and bacteria.
-
Dirty makeup can build up harmful bacteria that could contribute to infections, allergic reactions and even acne!
-
Even if you are the only person using your makeup, bacteria from the environment and the natural oils in your skin can easily contaminate the products.
-
Good cosmetics hygiene can help to prevent the buildup of bacteria on makeup.
Would you use the same facecloth each day without washing it?
Introducing the world‟s first collection of Cosmetic Sanitizers. The BeautySoClean® 3-Piece Cleaning System is the only way to CLEAN, REJUVENATE and REMOVE BACTERIA from your makeup, without altering its colour or drying the makeup out.
BeautySoClean ® is the industry leader for proper hygiene practices and protocol for professional Makeup Artists and Beauty Advisors. It is a reliable way to feel confident that the cosmetic products you and your clients use are kept hygienic and safe.

The Science of BeautySoClean
In a laboratory study BeautySoClean® was clinically proven to remove common bacteria such as Staphylococcus Aureus (Staph), Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and Escherichia Coli (E. coli). These bacteria were found on cosmetics from personal makeup bags, professional makeup kits and in-store testers. No bacterial growth was found after treatment with the BeautySoClean® formula.

3 Common ‘Culprits’ of Contamination:
- Oil from your own skin creates bacteria which are transferred to your makeup. Each time you apply your makeup you are likely “double-dipping” your brush or fingers.
- Residue from food or beverages on your lips can be transferred to and remain on your lip products.
- Mascara and liquid eyeliner wands can collect bacteria and introduce potentially hazardous microorganisms to your eye.
These are all reasons why you should safeguard the health of your clients with BeautySoClean®.

MEET THE 3-PIECE CLEANING SYSTEM
1. Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist

The handy Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist is effective for cleaning powder-based products. It cleans, rejuvenates and removes bacteria from makeup products without altering the formula of the cosmetic product.
It is specifically formulated so it does not dry out, crack or change the colour of the makeup, compared to using 100% alcohol.
- 100% effective in 10 seconds
- Dermatology tested and non-irritating
- Only for cosmetics with porous surfaces
- Handy 8ml retail size lasts up to 70 applications
- 250ml/8.5oz professional size is ideal for in-store tester inserts and professional makeup kits
DIRECTIONS: Hold spray bottle 6” (15cm) away from centre of product. Mist lightly. Do not over-saturate the makeup. Allow to dry before using the product or applying any lids.
(Alternatively, if you are in-store and concerned about any kind of build-up on your tester inserts, spray Mist directly onto a cotton ball. Gently pat the entire surface of the cosmetic product with the cotton ball).
Note: DO NOT spray directly onto the hard surface of your tester unit as it is intended for cosmetics with porous surfaces only. If Mist gets onto the surface of the tester unit, immediately wipe clean.
2. Cosmetic Sanitizer Wipes

The convenient Cosmetic Sanitizer Wipes are effective for sanitizing makeup that accumulates visible debris like dust, lint and food particles. They clean, refresh and remove bacteria from makeup without altering the product’s formula.
The Wipes do not dry out, crack or alter the pigment of the makeup, compared to using 100% alcohol. Unlike the traditional method of scraping the top layer of the product, it does not waste valuable makeup.

IN-STORE PROTOCOL (For Beauty Advisors)
Have you ever had a client refuse a makeup application because they were afraid that the makeup wasn’t sanitary? More and more, people are concerned about cleanliness, germs and cross-contamination.
Cleaning your testers at least twice a day and sanitizing your cosmetics before and after each makeup application will safeguard your clients’ health and increase their faith in you as their personal beauty expert.
Sanitizing Removable Testers
Twice a day, remove your tester inserts and cover any graphic decals with your thumb. Hold the Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist 6” (15cm) away from the makeup and mist once. Do not over-saturate. Be sure to wipe off any excess sanitizer from the outer tray. That‟s it – just mist, wipe the outer tray and replace!
Clean all lipsticks, lip glosses, concealers, foundations and cosmetic pencils with the Sanitizer Wipes. Gently wipe over the product to be cleaned.
Sanitizing Non-Removable Testers
Every tester unit is different; therefore it is important to remember that BeautySoClean® is a cosmetic sanitizer only. It was designed for sanitizing cosmetics with porous surfaces, not for cleaning your actual tester units. Spraying the Sanitizer Mist all over the unit could potentially damage it.
To sanitize makeup that doesn‟t easily come out of the tester unit use a cotton ball. Mist the cotton ball lightly with the Sanitizer Mist and press it gently on the cosmetic product – left, centre right. If you do get sanitizer on the actual unit be sure to wipe it off immediately.
THE SANITARY MAKEOVER
You now know that the BeautySoClean® Cleaning System is the key to safeguarding your clients’ health and safety. By using the system throughout each makeup application, you establish yourself as the ultimate professional.

Eye Products

Mascara and eyeliner wands can become a hotbed for bacteria. With BeautySoClean® your client doesn’t have to worry about that! You are going to show her how to keep her mascara and eyeliner wands bacteria-free and clump-free at home!
Use a Cosmetic Sanitizer Wipe on the brush of your mascara wand; point out that the wipe is removing bacteria right where it collects – in the brush. FAQs
100% Alcohol can dry out any cosmetic product, fade the colour and damage the formulation. The magic of BeautySoClean® is in the formula’s emollients. Alcohol works in perfect harmony with natural conditioning agents to clean, rejuvenate and remove bacteria, without altering the formula of the product! It doesn’t dry out the makeup, alter the pigment or break down its ingredients.
Of course, the Sanitizer Mist will work effectively on any makeup product. Most of all, it’s designed for powder-based products. But other products like lipstick, gloss and mascara wands gather visible debris: dust, dirt and lint. The Sanitizer Wipes are essential for these products because they sanitize plus physically remove all residue without leaving anything behind. Using the Wipes on a mascara wand will remove germs and prevent clumps!
Even when you’re the only one using your products, germs and bacteria will ultimately start to grow. This could lead to infections, skin irritations or allergic reactions. But even if you’re not concerned about bacteria, think about extending the life of your valuable products!
At the store, use the BeautySoClean® protocol on your testers twice a day, and during each makeup application. For your clients, cleaning their makeup every day should be an important part of their new daily beauty regimen!
